At Stonehouse Restorations, we are experts in creating stone-built extensions, where we add new sections to existing structures using carefully selected stone. Our goal is to maintain the architectural coherence of your property while enhancing its durability. Each extension is designed to seamlessly blend with the original building, ensuring that the new addition looks like it has always been part of the structure. By using stone, we not only preserve the aesthetic appeal but also strengthen the overall longevity of your property, creating a timeless and resilient space for years to come.

Stonehouse Restorations specialises in creating structural stone openings that blend both function and beauty. Our process involves carefully cutting and shaping stone to form windows, doors, or other openings within a masonry structure. Every step requires precise planning and execution to ensure that the integrity of the building remains intact while enhancing its aesthetic appeal. By seamlessly integrating these openings into the existing stonework, we not only improve the functionality of the space but also preserve and accentuate the building’s overall strength and character.

At Stonehouse Restorations, we specialise in rubble walling, a traditional masonry technique that uses irregularly shaped stones to create strong, beautiful walls. This method celebrates the natural beauty and texture of the stone, resulting in unique, rustic structures that harmonise perfectly with their surroundings. Our craftsmanship ensures each wall is not only durable and stable but also a testament to the timeless appeal of natural materials.

At Stonehouse Restorations, we pride ourselves on being lime pointing specialists with a deep understanding of traditional masonry. Using lime-based mortar, we carefully repair and maintain historic structures, ensuring their flexibility and breathability to prevent damage to the masonry and mortar alike. By meticulously matching the original mortar mix and employing time-honoured techniques, we create repairs that seamlessly blend with the existing work while enhancing the building’s durability and character.
