Stonehouse Restorations is a small, skilled team of traditional stonemasons based in South Devon. We specialise in heritage stonework, lime pointing, rubble walling, and the sensitive repair of listed and period properties across the region.
With a passion for craftsmanship and a deep respect for Devon’s architectural heritage, we restore stone buildings using time-tested techniques and locally sourced materials.

We believe in doing things properly. That means:
Using traditional lime mortars instead of modern cement
Carefully sourcing matching stone to retain authenticity
Working by hand when detail matters most
Respecting the character and fabric of historic buildings
Every project we take on – from a small boundary wall to a full gable rebuild – is treated with care, precision, and a long-term view.

With decades of combined experience, we’ve worked on:
Listed buildings across South Hams and Dartmoor
Boundary and retaining walls for traditional properties
Chimneys, gables, and façades in need of structural repair
Dry stone and rubble walls using regional techniques
Heritage repointing with breathable lime mortars
We collaborate with homeowners, architects, and conservation officers to ensure the right balance between restoration and preservation.
